No sign-up fees or other extra charges, no paying more than one month ahead, and no long registration forms asking for every detail about you. Just simple piano lessons, focused on you, to help you improve and enjoy playing. The first lesson is a free trial, with no commitment.
- Cancellations. Please let me know at least 24 hours before the lesson if you need to cancel. With less notice, the lesson is not made up or credited, unless there is a serious reason such as a family emergency or an accident.
- If I cancel. If I have to cancel a lesson, it will be made up or credited.
- Illness. Please do not come to a lesson with a fever or anything contagious, just let me know as early as you can so we can reschedule it. If you are only a little under the weather and feel up to playing, you are welcome to come in person.
- Holidays and vacations. Please let me know about holidays, vacations or other planned absences as soon as you know, so we can plan around them.
- Monthly fee. The fee for each month is paid before or at the first lesson of that month. It stays the same every month, whether the month has 4 or 5 lessons.
- Arriving on time. Lessons start and end at the scheduled time. A lesson that starts late still ends on time.
- Parents at lessons. Parents are always welcome to stay during the lesson. A parent must stay for the first lesson, and for every lesson with a very young child.
- Picking up children. Children must be picked up by a parent or legal guardian at the end of the lesson. For their safety, children may not leave or wait outside the fence on their own. Once the lesson is over, I am not responsible for a child who has not been picked up or who leaves alone.
- Practice. Regular practice between lessons is what makes progress possible. Parents of young students should help by setting a daily practice time.
- Lesson materials. Please bring any score (book or printed) to every lesson.
- Stopping lessons. If you decide to stop, just let me know before the next month begins.
- Changes. Fees or these policies may change from time to time. I will let you know in advance.
